TYPE OF FAULTING: left-lateral strike-slip
LENGTH: at least 30 km
MOST RECENT SURFACE RUPTURE: Quaternary
OTHER NOTES: The Blue Cut fault is likely much longer than shown on the map, but much of that length (toward the east of the trace on the map) is probably Pre-Quaternary in age, and is consequently difficult to trace beneath the Quaternary desert alluvium.
